How do I buy tickets to upcoming shows when they go on sale?

For the latest concert information keep an eye on our website and click on the buy tickets links, or go to ticketmaster.com or visit The Varsity box office once we open and pick up tickets directly from the venue on days the box office is open. Our box office will open Wednesday February 21 and will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays 12pm to 5pm and on Fridays 10am to 5pm. Box Office is also always open on any show night.

How do I receive a password to purchase pre-sale tickets during the local pre-sale?

In order to receive a pre-sale password, you can either follow us on social media where we will post the pre-sale information, sign up for our venue newsletter, sign up on the Live Nation newsletter or RSVP to the Facebook event. Better yet, do them all!

Do you have a VIP Program/ Premium Seating?

We will! Once we open our doors and get some killer shows under our belts we will have more information on how to take your concert experience to the next level! You can also ask our box office on any show night if any special VIP or premium seating programs are available.

How can I rent Varsity Theater for a Private Party?

When is your box office open?

How do I get a job at The Varsity?

Do you have seating at the venue?

The Varsity is a general admission standing room venue unless otherwise noted for a specific show. On certain nights a limited number of seats may be available on the upper level. For more information or to inquire about ADA seating, contact the box office directly.

Do you have a coat check?

We do! Ask anyone that works at the venue where you can drop off your coat and they will point you in the right direction. It is first come first served!

Where do I park?
+

Street parking throughout Dinkytown and public parking options at The Venue (on 5th St and 13th Ave) or the 4th St Ramp (on 4th St and 17th Ave)

Do you have an ATM?

We do not today.. but we will in the very near future.

Does the Varsity serve any food inside the venue?
+

We will have some prepackaged snacks starting February 21st and will likely incorporate more tasty food options in the future!

Can I bring my camera to the show?
+

It depends on each individual artist or performer's policies. Usually, small point-and-shoot cameras and cell-phone cameras are allowed. Cameras with lenses on them are considered to be professional-length are not allowed to be brought into the venue, unless artist has given prior approval for a media pass. Security will ask guests to leave such cameras in their cars. Audio or video recording is also almost never allowed at concerts unless otherwise noted.

What is your photo consent policy?

Any event you attend at Varsity Theater may be professionally photographed, videotaped or recorded. By attending, you agree that the event for which you purchase tickets is a public event, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the event. You grant permission to us to utilize your name, image, likeness, acts, poses, plays, appearance, movements, and statements in any live or recorded audio, video or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition publication or reproduction made of, or at, the event for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed without further authorization from, or compensation to, you or anyone acting on your behalf.

If a show is cancelled, how do I get a refund?

If a show cancels please contact the point of purchase.

Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets?
+

Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable, unless a show has been cancelled. If a cancellation were to occur, it will be posted to our social media pages with details and you should contact the point of purchase.

If I won tickets through the radio station, where do I pick those up?

If you won tickets via the radio station, please contact the station directly to obtain your tickets. In some cases the station will not have physical tickets but will supply your name to the box office to be held at Will Call on the night of the show so please work directly with the station on what they have worked out with us as it will vary by show and station.

How early should I, or can I, arrive before a show?

Door times are listed on the website, Facebook event, and on your ticket but most shows will have doors open one-hour before show time. There is no inside space for a line so if you choose to arrive before doors, lines will be formed outside of the venue along the sidewalk.
