We continue to implement preventive measures at all Live Nation Venues in line with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other health agencies. We have taken the following steps to help ensure the health and safety of everyone who walks into our buildings:
Extra hand sanitizer dispensers at all bathroom areas, concessions stands, lobbies, offices and backstage
Additional signage and messaging in restrooms, backstage and offices to help reinforce basic health and hygiene practices
Eliminating hand pump condiment dispensers, providing individual packages instead
Granting fans ability to bring disposable wipes and hand sanitizers into all venues
Janitorial staff equipped with additional USDA and Food Code Compliant disinfectants and wipes for immediate cleaning response
Increased frequency of cleaning routines and disinfection of high touch areas

How do I buy tickets to upcoming shows when they go on sale?
For the latest concert information keep an eye on our website and click on the buy tickets links, go to ticketmaster.com or visit The Varsity box office and pick up tickets directly from the venue on days the box office is open. While you may find concert tickets on 3rd party websites such as Stub Hub and Craigslist, we cannot guarantee the validity of those tickets. If they are counterfeit, we will not be able to allow entry into the venue unless a new valid ticket is purchased, if the show is not sold out. Be mindful when purchasing from these types of sites..
How do I receive a password to purchase pre-sale tickets during the local pre-sale?
In order to receive a pre-sale password, you can either follow us on social media where we will post the pre-sale information, sign up for our venue newsletter, sign up on the Live Nation newsletter or RSVP to the Facebook event. Better yet, do them all!

When is your box office open?
The Box Office is also always open on show nights; typically 1 hour prior to show time but times may vary. If purchasing tickets to another event than that nights show, please be mindful of our rush and allow show-night patrons time for entry.

How early should I, or can I, arrive before a show?
Door times for each show are listed on the website, Facebook event, and on your ticket. In general, most shows will open doors one hour prior to show time. There is no inside space for a line so if you choose to arrive before doors, lines will be formed outside along the sidewalk. Please be respectful to our Dinkytown neighbors, students, and other concert goers.
We ask that lines are not formed prior to 10AM day of show as there will be no venue staff onsite to assist with questions or issues. What is your photo consent policy?
Any event you attend at Varsity Theater may be
professionally photographed, videotaped or recorded. By attending, you agree
that the event for which you purchase tickets is a public event, that your
appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are
public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to
your actions or conduct at the event. You grant permission to us to utilize
your name, image, likeness, acts, poses, plays, appearance, movements, and
statements in any live or recorded audio, video or photographic display or
other transmission, exhibition publication or reproduction made of, or at, the
event for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or
hereafter developed without further authorization from, or compensation to, you
or anyone acting on your behalf.
Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets?
Tickets are nontransferable
and nonrefundable, unless a show has been cancelled. If a cancellation were to
occur, it will be posted to our social media pages with details and you should
contact the point of purchase.
If I won tickets through the radio station, where do I pick those up?
If you won tickets via the
radio station, please contact the station directly to obtain your tickets. In
some cases the station will not have physical tickets but will supply your name
to the box office to be held at Will Call on the night of the show so please
work directly with the station on what they have worked out with us as it will
vary by show and station.
What is NOT allowed into the venue?
(Keep in mind priority number 1 is to HAVE FUN! Just please do it without the items listed below)

No guns, knives, weapons, pepper spray, projectiles of any kind, or any other item that could be used to inflict harm.
Replicas of any type of weapon are NOT permitted

If a show cancels please contact the point of
purchase. All tickets purchased online via Ticketmaster will be automatically

Do you have a dress code?
No specific dress code but clothing and shoes are
required. No jewelry or clothes that could cause harm. For a full list of

Can I bring my camera to the show?
It depends on each individual
artist or performer's policies. Usually, small point-and-shoot cameras and
cell-phone cameras are allowed. Cameras with lenses on them are considered to
be professional-length are not allowed to be brought into the venue, unless
artist has given prior approval for a media pass. Security will ask guests to
leave such cameras in their cars. Audio or video recording is also almost never
allowed at concerts unless otherwise noted.
What are your age restrictions for Entry?
Every show has different age requirements, please visit the specific show’s page on our website or Ticketmaster to determine the age restrictions.
